A brief summary of our presentation:
Our film will be approximately 3 minutes long and consist of 3 acts. The approximate time of each act will be: 30 seconds(Act I), 1 minute 30 seconds(Act II), 1 minute(Act III).
An outline of each act, as written in our presentation:
Act I: The film opens with a single entity. After doing a circuit of the area, it begins to establish itself in the environment by breaking up and expanding.
Act II:The organism continues to grow and expand in the space, and we follow smaller pieces of the character as they change and evolve. A threat is introduced, and a brief conflict occurs during which the organism appears to be defeated.
Act III: Despite its appearance of defeat, the organism begins to slowly recover and grow again. Once it appears to be flourishing, it is suddenly destroyed by a different source.
These are some of the technical details we decided on:
- Possible materials will include: clay, plasticine, wire, pebbles, plastic accessories
- Three SLR cameras will be used
- The final movie will use 25-40 frames per second
- In post-production we will use programs such as after effects, premier and photoshop
