Final presentation - movie and description

The final movie edit we used was Danielle's one (below). My final edits are further down on this page.

In Enters Blue from danielle bossio on Vimeo.

I'm listed as editor in the credits because that's the role that I was originally assigned. Our final 'official' roles were:

Jackie - Editor
Danielle - Director
Jess - Art Director
Zoe - Conceptual Artist

Overall the roles don't mean much as we all did an equal amount of work, including each of us doing at least one edit of our own.

The final presentation was both good and bad. We got quite a bit of criticism, not necessarily all negative, but we also got some good/positive feedback about it. I think that maybe we didn't manage to say everything we wanted to because the questions started very early on and we ran out of time.

After showing our movie the presentation, thanks to me, started off pretty badly. For some reason I just couldn't manage to say what I was trying to. Most likely it was the pressure and nervousness of being in front of an audience. Luckily Danielle saved me and I was fine after she had talked for a bit. All things considered I am pleased with the final outcome of our project, and set up, and I think that the amount of work we have done really shows through.

Unfortunately our dvd didn't burn very well so the quality isn't as good as it should be. Also 2 of the alternate edits don't have audio which basically defeats the purpose of putting them there. All of the edits accidentally have me credited as the editor but I only did the last two, which for some reason are the ones without audio.

Second final

My second final edit. I edited this one a little bit more than the first, just cutting it a bit differently and slowing it down. I used sounds that I recorded as well as one that was recorded for our Aural Terrains project last year. I tried using these tracks instead of just songs to make it more experimental and fit more with the mood of the film.

First final

My first final edit, using songs for the music. A track from Inception and a track from Donnie Darko.
